On June 28th, 2006, He Xiaodong, Norinco¨s Vice president, met with Shugiin, the former minister of Defense Ministry and congressman of Japan. Mr. He introduced the business of Norinco, and specially clarified the Norinco¨s principle and position on nonproliferation and export control. Mr. Shugiin briefed the background why he visited China, and hoped to diminish the misunderstandings between China and Japan so as to make the relationship of two countries back to normal, and strengthen the communication and cooperation between the companies of both sides. Mr. He spoke highly of the effort made by Japanese of vision to push normalization of two countries¨relationship and welcome the cooperation on high technology between Norinco and Japanese companies.
